S/O to Frank Ocean for this amazing letter. He comes out in this letter and I feel every word he is saying. I think he is tremendous!! This is a very good example of freedom. How exercising our right to feel as human beings. To actually acknowledge his “bi-sexuality”as a black man that has “media exposure” is a milestone for our community! S/O again to Mr. Frank Ocean again!!
My journey didn’t start 16 months ago. It started a LONG TIME ago. I have a pic that dates back 17 years ago & compared it to me now at 31. I am not ashamed of who I am because my past makes me the man I am. 17 years ago I was a ninth grader who beat the odds. I still have that spirit to this day. I shared this to show that the life we all live must be our own truth. No one can define who I am. That exist in its own truth.

‘The boy with the sapphire eyes’ taken by Vanessa Bristow. An ophthalmologist friend of the photographer had this to say about the boy’s unusual eyes: ‘The picture of the little boy with the blue eyes and dark skin probably represents Ocular Albinism or Nettleship-Falls albinism, or Juvenile uveitis. Both conditions cause the pigment of the iris to be less dense’
